ONGC Scholarship Registration 2026 Apply Online Form

• Must be an Indian citizen studying in India.

• Not more than 30 years as of August 1, 2025 

• Enrolled in the first year of a full-time, regular course in Engineering, MBBS, MBA, or Master’s in Geology/Geophysics.

• For Engineering/MBBS: Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in Class 12.
• For MBA/Master’s in Geology/Geophysics: Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA in graduation.

• Must not avail benefits from any other scholarship or financial aid scheme.

• A standard savings bank account (not a minor account) is mandatory for disbursement.

• Annual family income must be less than ₹4.5 lakh.
• Must belong to the SC/ST community with a valid caste certificate.

• Annual family income must be less than ₹2 lakh.
• Must belong to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) with a valid OBC certificate.

• Annual family income must be less than ₹2 lakh.
• Must meet EWS criteria as per Government of India norms.

ONGC Scholarship 2026 : Benefits

 (4-year programs)

• Includes all branches such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemical, Petroleum, and others approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
• Must be a full-time, regular program offered by a recognized institution.

(4 years)

• Master of Business Administration in any specialization, including Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, etc.
• Must be a full-time, regular program recognized by AICTE, UGC, or the State/Central Government.

(2 years)

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Must be a full-time, regular course.

• Postgraduate programs in Geology or Geophysics, including M.Sc. in Geology, Applied Geology, Geophysics, or Applied Geophysics.
• Must be a full-time, regular course recognized by UGC or the State/Central Government.

    Important Notes:

• Only students in their first year of these programs are eligible.
• Courses must be conducted in India and recognized by the relevant regulatory bodies (AICTE, MCI, UGC, or State/Central Government).
• Part-time, distance learning, or diploma courses are not eligible.

     The ONGC scholarship application process involves online and offline steps. Detailed instructions are provided below:

     1. Visit the Official Website: Access ongcscholar.org.

     2. Select Scholarship Category: Choose SC/ST, OBC, or General (EWS) scheme.

     3. Read Instructions: Review guidelines on the portal.

    4. Complete Online Application:

• Enter personal details (name, gender, category, mobile number, email, DOB, etc.).
• Provide address, academic qualifications, financial details, and bank account information (IFSC code, account number).
• Upload scanned copies of required documents.

    5. Preview and Submit: Verify details and submit online.

    6. Print Application: Download and print the completed form.

     7. Offline Submission:

•     Get the application and documents attested by the Head/Principal/Dean of your institution.
•     Send the hard copy to the designated ONGC office based on your institution’s location (see table below).

    8. Track Status: Monitor updates on the ONGC scholarship portal.

  Important: Incomplete or unverified applications will be rejected. Ensure accuracy to avoid disqualification.

1. Proof of Age: Birth certificate or Class 10 marksheet.
2. Academic Records:
   • Class 12 mark sheet (for Engineering/MBBS).
   • Consolidated graduation mark sheet (for MBA/Master’s in Geology/Geophysics).
3. Caste Certificate: For SC/ST/OBC candidates, in Hindi or English.
4. Income Certificate: Issued by a competent authority, in Hindi or English.
5. Proof of Admission: Admission letter from the current institution.
6. Identity Proof: Aadhaar card or PAN card (if PAN unavailable, provide tentative submission date).
7. Bank Details: ECS form attested by the bank, including IFSC code and account number.
8. Undertaking: Signed statement confirming the accuracy of the provided information.

Note: Documents must be attested by the Head/Principal/Dean of your institution.

• Achieve a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in the previous academic year.
• Ensure progression to the next academic year of the course without any backlogs.

• Click on the Login tab at the top right end of the page.
• Enter your login details, like your ID and password.

• Navigate to the renewal section, typically available under the scholarship dashboard or application status tab.
• Select the option to apply for scholarship renewal for the academic year 2025-26.

• Upload the mark sheet or result of the previous academic year, certified by the Head/Principal/Dean of your institution.
• Provide proof of promotion to the next academic year (e.g., admission receipt or enrollment certificate for the current year).

• Confirm that your family income remains within the eligibility limit (₹4.5 lakh for SC/ST, ₹2 lakh for OBC/General-EWS). If required, upload a renewed income certificate.
• Update bank account details if there are any changes (e.g., new account number or IFSC code).

• Mark Sheet: Certified copy of the previous year’s academic results.
• Promotion Proof: Document confirming enrollment in the next academic year.
• Income Certificate: Updated certificate, if required by ONGC.
• Undertaking: A signed statement confirming the accuracy of the provided information and adherence to scholarship terms.
• All documents must be attested by the Head/Principal/Dean of your institution.

• Review all entered details and uploaded documents.
• Submit the renewal application through the portal.

• Download and print the completed renewal application form.
• Get the form and documents attested by your institution’s Head/Principal/Dean.
• Send the hard copy to the same ONGC regional office where the initial application was submitted (based on your institution’s location; see table below).

• Monitor the status of your renewal application on ongcscholar.org using your application ID.
• Await confirmation of renewal and disbursement of the scholarship amount for the next academic year.

• Renewal is subject to verification of academic performance and compliance with scholarship terms.
• Failure to meet the academic criteria (60% marks or 6.0 CGPA) or providing false information will result in discontinuation of the scholarship.
• Ensure timely submission of the renewal application, typically aligned with the academic year’s start or as notified on the ONGC portal.
